  • Responsible for managing 24x7x365 Network Operations Center;
  • Responsible for all technical support operations, monitoring tools, and helpdesk management;
  • Provide Tier 2 support to NOC personnel for monitoring and troubleshooting customer networks;
  • Support iDirect network planning and implementation for optimal remote performance;
  • Support network modifications and upgrades;
  • Liaise with Network Engineering, ground uplink stations, and various satellite providers;
  • Develop and maintain Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions for NOC Technicians;
  • Train NOC Technicians on monitoring tools;
  • Leverage existing tools to create new capabilities;
  • Support business development and proposal activity with RF calculations;
  • Work with teleports and operators to maintain and grow satellite networks;
  • Manage NOC Technicians;
Other related duties as may be assigned, particularly in support of Operations Department.


  • 3-5 years experience with iDirect satellite networking platform strongly preferred;
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of iDirect technology, servers, protocol processors, line cards, modems, Infinity and Evolution IOS strongly preferred;
  • Cisco Certifications helpful (CCENT, CCNA);
  • Must have a flexible schedule to provide technical support help;
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines for special projects;
  • Ability to think clearly and problem solve in a high-stress environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to explain complex subject matter in simple but accurate terms;
  • Must be proactive, a team player, and possess a can-do attitude;
  • Must be able to travel internationally and have current Passport.
